Ciaran is a New Zealand–registered physiotherapist with a decade of experience across musculoskeletal, sports, and post-surgical rehabilitation settings. He holds a BHSc in Physiotherapy, a Postgraduate Diploma in Musculoskeletal Physiotherapy, and is currently a Master of Philosophy candidate. As an ACC Endorsed Provider, he has worked in private practice, hospital environments, and with sporting organisations, developing advanced diagnostic and management skills for both simple and complex injuries. Ciaran contributes widely to the profession, serving on the Executive Committee of Physiotherapy New Zealand, the Education Sub committee of the New Zealand Musculoskeletal and Manual Physiotherapists, and the Advisory Board for the University of Auckland’s Master of Physiotherapy Practice programme. He also teaches extensively, including as lead tutor for the NZMMP Peripheral Nervous System Disorders COMT course and as a lecturer at the University of Auckland.
His clinical expertise spans musculoskeletal and sports physiotherapy, complex pain management, and early intervention with a strong focus on injury prevention.
Ciaran’s practice is grounded in active, person centred care, integrating movement, exercise, and a clear understanding of pain to help people return to what matters most to them. He works collaboratively with clients to set meaningful goals and uses evidence based assessment and rehabilitation strategies to build confidence, capability, and long term resilience.
